Kallam Textiles reported widening losses for Q2 and H1 FY26. Revenue for the quarter rose modestly to Rs. 7,351 lakhs (vs Rs. 7,238 lakhs YoY), but half-year revenue declined about 5% to Rs. 12,231 lakhs. Net loss for Q2 was Rs. 1,928 lakhs and for H1 was Rs. 3,725 lakhs, much worse than Rs. 1,294 lakhs and Rs. 2,231 lakhs in the prior-year periods. EPS stood at Rs. (3.65) for Q2 and Rs. (7.05) for H1. The statutory auditor flagged a 'Material Uncertainty Related to Going Concern,' citing continuous losses, defaults on bank loans, and NPA classification since January 2024. Indian Bank and Union Bank of India have filed recovery proceedings before the Debt Recovery Tribunal and initiated SARFAESI action, including notices for taking possession of spinning and weaving division properties. Total bank dues stand at Rs. 31,848 lakhs, with finance costs of Rs. 2,182 lakhs in H1, and Rs. 2,350 lakhs of non-current borrowings have been reclassified as current liabilities.
This is a deeply distressed company facing serious going-concern risk. With lenders already classifying loans as NPA and pursuing recovery through courts and SARFAESI, shareholders face heightened risk of dilution or value erosion if debt restructuring fails. The stock is likely to remain under pressure until a credible turnaround or restructuring is visible.
