Kalpataru Projects International Limited's Board approved audited financial results for FY2026. Consolidated total income rose 22% year-on-year to Rs. 27,248 Crores, while profit after tax jumped 82% to Rs. 1,030.63 Crores (standalone PAT: Rs. 831.75 Crores). The Board recommended a final dividend of Rs. 11 per share (550% on face value Rs. 2), subject to shareholder approval at the ensuing AGM. The company sold its entire 100% stake in Vindhyachal Expressway Private Limited (VEPL) to Actis Atlantic Holdings Limited for Rs. 215.86 Crores, booking a gain of Rs. 156.56 Crores (exceptional item). Additionally, Fasttel Engenharia S.A., a step-down subsidiary in Brazil, filed for Judicial Reorganization under Brazilian law, prompting full impairment of goodwill and intangible assets aggregating Rs. 90.50 Crores. The Board also approved a guarantee of up to SEK 50 Mn (~USD 5.5 Mn) by subsidiary LMG AB for hedging purposes with no current financial impact on the Company.
Strong financial performance with 82% PAT growth is positive for shareholders. The VEPL sale and exceptional gains of Rs. 156.56 Crores boost near-term profitability, though the Fasttel impairment (Rs. 90.50 Crores) and NHAI dispute on Wainganga Expressway (termination notices exchanged) represent ongoing risks requiring monitoring.
