Kaveri Seed Company reported FY26 total revenues of Rs 1,303.77 crore, up 16.25% from Rs 1,121.57 crore in FY25. Non-cotton revenues grew 23.17% to Rs 1,060.18 crore, driven by strong maize (40.17% growth to Rs 403.18 crore) and hybrid rice (18.37% growth to Rs 293.77 crore). Cotton revenues declined 6.6% to Rs 243.59 crore due to illegal seed competition and higher production costs, though new cotton products now contribute 30.05% of cotton sales vs 10.3% previously. Exports surged approximately 90% for full year and 76% in Q4. Q4 total revenues grew 6.8% to Rs 82.21 crore, with cotton bouncing back sharply (453.1% growth) while non-cotton revenues fell 8.1%. Management expects Q1 FY27 growth across cotton, rainy millet, hybrid rice, exports, and vegetables.
The company showed strong overall growth driven by non-cotton segments and exports, though cotton remains a concern. The shift toward newer hybrid products in cotton and expansion in maize and exports signals business diversification, which could support the stock despite margin pressures from cotton production costs.
