Kaveri Seed Company shared its Q1 FY26 investor presentation reporting standalone revenue of Rs 945.31 Cr, up 16.98% from Rs 808.09 Cr in Q1 FY25. EBITDA grew 13.68% to Rs 332.85 Cr, while PAT rose 11.88% to Rs 316.50 Cr; cash on books declined to Rs 477 Cr from Rs 605 Cr. Non-cotton revenue surged 31.30% driven by maize (+54%), hybrid rice (+32%), and vegetables (+41%), while cotton revenue fell 14.12% due to lower volumes and increased illegal seed sales. The share of new products in cotton volumes rose sharply from 12% to 34%, signalling a portfolio shift. Acreage trends were positive for maize (+11.74%) and rice (+16.69%) but negative for cotton (-2.36%) and bajra (-1.26%).
Strong non-cotton growth, especially in maize and rice, is the key positive story, but the cotton decline and slight EBITDA margin compression may concern investors in the near term.
