KEC International has issued a notice informing shareholders that equity shares belonging to those who have not claimed their dividends for seven consecutive years (from FY 2017-18 onwards) are liable to be transferred to the Investor Education and Protection Fund (IEPF) Account. The company has published notices in Business Standard, Free Press Journal, and Navshakti newspapers, and sent individual reminder letters to affected shareholders. Concerned shareholders have until August 31, 2025 to claim their unclaimed dividends and shares by submitting a claim application to the Registrar and Transfer Agent (MUFG Intime India Private Limited). If no response is received by the deadline, the shares will be transferred to the IEPF Account without further notice. This is a mandatory compliance under Section 124 of the Companies Act, 2013 and the IEPF Authority Rules, 2016. Shareholders can still reclaim shares from the IEPF Authority later using Form IEPF-5.
This is a routine regulatory compliance notice with no material impact on the stock price. Shareholders who have unclaimed dividends since FY 2017-18 should act before August 31, 2025 to avoid having their shares transferred to the IEPF Account.
