KEI Industries has entered into a Share Subscription and Shareholders' Agreement (SSSA) along with a Solar Power Purchase Agreement (SPPA) on May 20, 2026. The company will invest Rs. 5.90 Crores to acquire 26% of the securities (equity and compulsory convertible debentures) of Solarcraft Power India 24 Private Limited. The investment will be made in one or more tranches over approximately 90 days. The acquired entity is a Special Purpose Vehicle incorporated in June 2023, currently with zero turnover, set up to establish an 11.25 MW solar power project in Rajasthan. KEI Industries will source this solar power as a captive consumer. The company states the acquisition is not a related party transaction and is aimed at enhancing its renewable energy supply to meet its sustainability commitments.
This is a modest strategic investment of Rs. 5.90 Crores focused on securing captive solar power for operations. It does not represent a revenue-generating order or contract and is unlikely to have an immediate material impact on KEI Industries' stock price, though it supports the company's renewable energy and ESG commitments.
