Kennametal India reported FY25 revenue from operations of Rs 1,170.3 crore, up about 6.4% from Rs 1,099.9 crore in FY24. Total income grew to Rs 1,184.7 crore from Rs 1,111.4 crore. Net profit for FY25 came in at Rs 102.9 crore versus Rs 110.5 crore in FY24, a decline of around 6.9%, because FY24 included a one-off exceptional interest income of Rs 12.7 crore from an income tax refund. Profit before exceptional items and tax actually rose modestly to Rs 140.2 crore from Rs 138.6 crore. Q4 revenue grew to Rs 323.4 crore from Rs 302.4 crore, and Q4 net profit rose to Rs 31.3 crore from Rs 30.3 crore. EPS for FY25 stood at Rs 46.82 versus Rs 50.28 in FY24. The statutory auditors Price Waterhouse & Co issued a clean, unmodified opinion. The Board re-appointed EY as internal auditor and K.S. Kamalakara & Co as cost auditors, and appointed V. Sreedharan & Associates as secretarial auditor for five years. The 60th AGM is scheduled for November 6, 2025.
Modest revenue growth with steady operating profitability; the slight drop in reported net profit is mainly due to the non-recurring tax refund interest earned last year, so underlying earnings are stable. A clean audit, unchanged auditor, and no governance red flags make this a routine, neutral-to-slightly-positive update for shareholders.
