Kennametal India has published a notice in Financial Express and Sanje Vani (Kannada) on March 12, 2026, informing shareholders that unclaimed dividends and corresponding equity shares for FY 2018-19 will be transferred to the Investor Education and Protection Fund (IEPF) on or before June 14, 2026. This action is taken as per Section 124(5) and 124(6) of the Companies Act, 2013, read with the IEPF Rules, 2016. The company has already communicated individually with affected shareholders and uploaded the relevant details (names, folio numbers, share/dividend details) on its website. Shareholders holding physical shares will receive duplicate share certificates, while demat shares will be transferred via corporate action. Once transferred, shareholders can still reclaim the shares and dividends from IEPF by following the prescribed procedure.
Shareholders who have not claimed their FY 2018-19 dividends must act before June 14, 2026, or risk losing their shares and dividends to the IEPF. This is a routine regulatory compliance action and is unlikely to have any direct impact on the stock price.
