Kerala Ayurveda Ltd has completed the acquisition of a 51% stake in Singapore-based OM Vedic Heritage Centre Pte. Ltd. (OVHPL) through its wholly owned subsidiary, Ayurvedic Academy Inc. The deal, originally announced in August 2024, was restructured to go through the subsidiary due to regulatory reasons and has now received approval from Singapore's ACRA. Kerala Ayurveda paid SGD 2,80,000 (approximately ₹1.78 crore) in cash for 51,000 equity shares. OVHPL runs ayurvedic therapy centres and sells ayurvedic medicines in Singapore, with a turnover of around SGD 9.16 lakh in FY2023. The acquisition is aimed at expanding the company's presence in Singapore and integrating with its existing ayurveda education, wellness, and product businesses.
This is a small, strategic international acquisition that strengthens Kerala Ayurveda's footprint in Singapore and complements its existing wellness and product lines. The deal size is modest (under ₹2 crore) relative to the company, so the direct financial impact on shareholders is limited, but it signals ongoing overseas expansion in the ayurveda space.
