Khaitan Chemicals & Fertilizers reported strong Q1-FY26 results with consolidated revenue of INR 2,343 million, up 80% year-on-year and 46% quarter-on-quarter. EBITDA jumped 559% YoY to INR 317 million, with margins expanding by 1,883 basis points to 13.53%. Net profit surged 228% YoY to INR 214 million. The Fertilizer segment contributed 73% of revenue with volumes up 20% YoY at 1,03,372 MT, while the Chemical segment grew 51% YoY at 36,941 MT. The government revised the SSP subsidy upward to INR 7,263/MT and extended freight subsidy for Kharif 2025, while ongoing DAP shortage is shifting farmer demand toward SSP. The Board also approved acquiring a 26% stake in KRSKA Solar Pvt. Ltd. to support sustainable energy initiatives.
Strong broad-based growth across revenue, profitability, and volumes, supported by favorable policy tailwinds (higher SSP subsidy, DAP shortage benefiting SSP demand), is likely to be viewed positively by investors. The strategic solar investment signals focus on cost efficiency, and management expects continued healthy growth into the Rabi season.
