Kiran Vyapar Limited, an investment and financing company, reported a sharp decline in profitability for Q2 FY26. Standalone profit after tax fell to ₹130.27 lakhs (vs ₹862.80 lakhs in Q1 FY26 and ₹2,827.71 lakhs in Q2 FY25), with EPS of ₹0.48. Consolidated Q2 FY26 PAT turned marginally negative at ₹(2.96) lakhs, dragged by a ₹(463.98) lakhs share of loss from associates. For H1 FY26, standalone PAT crashed to ₹331.96 lakhs from ₹4,518.24 lakhs in H1 FY25, while consolidated PAT dropped about 75% to ₹1,618.93 lakhs from ₹6,426.07 lakhs. The decline was largely driven by much lower net gains on fair value changes (₹1,111.93 lakhs vs ₹5,009.16 lakhs in H1 FY25). Operating cash flow on a consolidated basis turned sharply negative at ₹(5,493.21) lakhs. Prior period figures have been restated to give effect to a scheme of amalgamation that became effective in December 2024.
Sharply lower profits and negative consolidated operating cash flow are negative for the stock in the near term, as the company's earnings are heavily market-linked through fair value changes. The pending NCLT scheme for associate Placid Limited is an additional overhang, though the auditor issued an unqualified review report.
