Kiri Industries Limited reported FY26 standalone revenue of INR 7,779 million (up 18.7% YoY) and consolidated revenue of INR 8,396 million (up 13.5% YoY). The company received USD 689 million from the successful resolution of the DyStar dispute, resulting in exceptional income of INR 58,812 million and a massive net profit of INR 55,809 million for standalone (vs. INR 44 million in FY25). The company is entering a new growth phase, diversifying into copper smelting/refining and fertilizer manufacturing through subsidiaries Indo Asia Copper Limited and IndoAsia Agrotech Fertilizers Limited. The copper and fertilizer project has a total capex of approximately INR 13,300 crore with an expected IRR of ~25%, with construction already commenced under a 36-month timeline.
The DyStar windfall has transformed Kiri's balance sheet, making it effectively debt-free with cash and investments of over INR 35,000 million. However, core EBITDA remains deeply negative at INR -2,111 million standalone, raising questions about the sustainability of profitability beyond exceptional items. The ambitious copper and fertilizer diversification represents a high-risk, capital-intensive bet dependent on successful execution.
