Kirloskar Industries reported consolidated total income of Rs 7,016 crore for FY2026, up 5% from Rs 6,681 crore in FY2025. Profit after tax grew 15% to Rs 354 crore from Rs 308 crore. On a standalone basis (holding company operations), income was Rs 130 crore with PAT of Rs 77 crore. The consolidated earnings per share improved to Rs 151.92 from Rs 146.41. However, other comprehensive income turned sharply negative at Rs 254 crore (versus positive Rs 1,128 crore last year), likely due to mark-to-market losses on investments. Exceptional items were negative Rs 12.68 crore at consolidated level, versus positive Rs 12.24 crore in the prior year.
Solid operational performance with revenue and profit growth, though negative OCI and exceptional items warrant attention. The significant OCI swing could impact book value. The holding company structure means standalone results are much smaller than consolidated.
