Kirloskar Oil Engines Limited (KOEL) has incorporated a new wholly owned subsidiary called Kirloskar Advanced Systems Private Limited (KASPL) on 30th March 2026, based in Pune, Maharashtra. KASPL will operate in the engineering and industrial equipment space, with a focus on defence, railways, engines, power generating sets, unmanned systems, and related components and services. KOEL will invest ₹9 crore in cash by subscribing to 90 lakh equity shares of face value ₹10 each, holding 100% of the initial paid-up share capital. The subsidiary will need additional regulatory licenses and approvals as it scales its defence and industrial solutions business.
This is a strategic move to expand KOEL's footprint in high-growth segments like defence and railways, which could unlock new revenue streams over time. For existing shareholders, the ₹9 crore investment is relatively small and unlikely to materially impact the stock, but it signals management's intent to diversify beyond core engine businesses.
