KNR Constructions has completed the sale of its 100% equity stake in subsidiary KNR Palani Infra Private Limited (KPIPL) to publicly listed Indus Infra Trust. The company had invested Rs. 64.40 crore in the SPV and received Rs. 205.05 crore as sale consideration plus an additional Rs. 90 crore of cash surplus that was upstreamed from the SPV, totaling Rs. 295.05 crore cash inflow. The subsidiary contributed Rs. 86.96 crore (3.22%) to consolidated turnover and had a net worth of Rs. 243.34 crore (4.89% of consolidated net worth) as of March 2026. The deal was executed on December 24, 2025 and completed on May 29, 2026. The buyer Indus Infra Trust is a SEBI-registered infrastructure investment trust and is not related to the promoter group.
The transaction generates a significant cash inflow of Rs. 295 crore with the company making a profit of approximately Rs. 141 crore on its original investment. This strengthens the company's balance sheet and provides liquidity for future operations or debt reduction.
