Kothari Fermentation and Biochem Ltd has released its audited financial results for Q4 and full year ended March 31, 2026. Revenue from operations remained nearly flat at Rs 3,246.40 lakhs compared to Rs 3,217.87 lakhs in the previous year (marginal 0.9% growth). However, the company turned around from a net loss of Rs 346.23 lakhs in FY2025 to a net profit of Rs 181.38 lakhs in FY2026. EPS improved from negative Rs 1.99 to positive Rs 0.85. The statutory auditors (Kothari Kuldeep & Co.) issued an unmodified (clean) opinion. The Board also approved appointment of M/s Arun K. Garg & Associates as internal auditors for FY 2026-27 at a fee of Rs 1.10 lakh plus taxes.
The company has successfully returned to profitability after reporting losses in the previous year, which is a positive sign for shareholders. However, revenue stagnation and modest absolute profit levels suggest the turnaround is still in early stages. The clean audit opinion provides additional confidence in financial reporting quality.
