ICRA Limited has reaffirmed the credit ratings of KPI Green Energy for its bank facilities (total Rs. 5,775 crore) and Non-Convertible Debentures (Rs. 643.20 crore). Long-term bank facilities retain the [ICRA]A rating with Stable outlook, though the outlook was revised downward from Positive to Stable. Short-term facilities are reaffirmed at [ICRA]A2+. NCDs continue at [ICRA]AA+(CE) Stable, with Rs. 26.80 crore redeemed out of the earlier Rs. 670 crore. Several limits were enhanced — term loans raised to Rs. 4,009.54 crore, cash credit to Rs. 487 crore, and bank guarantees to Rs. 988 crore — and a new Rs. 50 crore vendor bill discounting facility was assigned.
The reaffirmation supports the company's borrowing capacity and signals continued lender confidence, but the outlook downgrade from Positive to Stable suggests ICRA sees less upside momentum than before. Shareholders should view this as neutral to mildly cautious — the rating is intact but the growth narrative has cooled slightly.
