Krishna Defence and Allied Industries (KDAIL) has incorporated a new subsidiary joint venture called Krishna Vabo Defence Composites Private Limited on 2 April 2026, in partnership with Netherlands-based Vabo Netherlands. KDAIL holds 51% of the paid-up share capital (subscribed Rs. 51,000 of the Rs. 1,00,000 capital), making it a subsidiary. The new entity will manufacture, design and trade composite-based ship doors, hatches, superstructures, masts and other marine products, primarily targeting ASEAN countries. The investment was made in cash and is not a related-party transaction. This continues earlier intimation from January 2026 regarding the JV agreement with Vabo Netherlands.
This expands KDAIL's defence and maritime manufacturing footprint through an international JV with a Dutch partner, potentially opening access to ASEAN defence and marine composite markets. The investment size is very small (Rs. 51,000 initial subscription), so near-term financial impact is minimal, but it signals a strategic move into high-tech composite solutions for naval applications.
