KIMS Hospitals reported FY26 total revenue of Rs 39,308 million, up 28.2% YoY, driven by 15.4% growth in inpatient volumes (2.46 lakh patients) and 14% increase in ARPOB to Rs 44,644. However, profitability declined sharply with EBITDA growing only 1.6% to Rs 8,282 million and EBITDA margin compressing to 21.1% from 26.6% in FY25. PAT fell 41.7% to Rs 2,420 million with EPS at Rs 6.03 vs Rs 9.61 in FY25. The company expanded bed capacity to 6,464 beds across Telangana, Andhra Pradesh, Maharashtra, Kerala and Karnataka. Regional performance varied significantly - Telangana delivered 30.4% EBITDA margin while Maharashtra turned negative (-0.9%) and new Karnataka operations reported deeply negative EBITDA (-88.8%).
Despite strong revenue growth, the sharp decline in profitability and margin compression indicates near-term pressure on stock performance. The expansion into Karnataka and Kerala is currently dragging earnings, though management may be building for long-term scale. Shareholders face value erosion as PAT declined over 40% YoY.
