KS Smart Technologies has revised its plan to set up a new step-down subsidiary called Ikshanaa Technology Solutions Private Limited. Earlier, only 51% was to be held through its wholly owned arm KS Smart Solutions Pvt Ltd (KSSPL), but now KSSPL will own 100%, making it a wholly owned step-down subsidiary. The new entity will work in IT, electronics, AI/ML, surveillance, IoT and smart technology solutions, with a clear focus on the Business-to-Government (B2G) segment. The total investment is small at just INR 1 lakh, comprising 10,000 equity shares of Rs 10 each. Incorporation is expected to be completed by 31 March 2026, subject to MCA approval, and no promoter or related party has any interest in the new company.
The financial outlay is too small to move the needle on earnings, but it signals a strategic push into government-focused tech and AI, which could support long-term growth if execution delivers. Shareholders should view this as an early-stage, low-cost expansion rather than a value-accretive trigger in the near term.
