Kuantum Papers Limited has published a newspaper notice informing shareholders about the mandatory transfer of shares to the Investor Education and Protection Fund (IEPF) demat account. This applies to shareholders who have not encashed their dividends for seven or more consecutive years, starting from financial year 2018-19. The company has individually communicated with affected shareholders by post and has set a deadline of 24th August 2026 for them to submit valid claims to the Registrar and Share Transfer Agent. After the deadline, unclaimed shares will be transferred to IEPF, and no claims can lie against the company thereafter. However, both unclaimed dividends and shares can be claimed back from IEPF Authority by following the prescribed procedure under IEPF Rules.
Shareholders with unclaimed dividends from FY 2018-19 should act before the deadline to avoid their shares being transferred to IEPF, after which recovery requires following IEPF Authority procedures.
