L&T Finance Limited has allotted 50,000 senior, secured, rated, listed, redeemable non-convertible debentures (NCDs) on a private placement basis to identified investors on April 21, 2026. Each NCD has a face value of Rs. 1,00,000, taking the total issue size to Rs. 500 crore. The debentures carry a coupon (interest) rate of 7.7942% per annum, payable annually, with the first interest payment due on June 27, 2026. The NCDs have a tenure of 1,893 days (about 5.2 years) and will be redeemed at par on June 27, 2031. They are proposed to be listed on NSE's Negotiated Trade Reporting Platform (NTRP) and are backed by a first-ranking charge on identified fixed deposits and/or standard receivables of the company.
This is a routine debt-raising move that helps L&T Finance strengthen its funding base at a competitive market rate, with no equity dilution for existing shareholders. The 7.79% coupon is in line with current market rates for a high-quality NBFC issuer, and the secured structure makes it a relatively safer instrument for the bondholders.
