Lakhotia Polyesters reported a strong turnaround in Q1 FY26 (quarter ended June 30, 2025). Revenue from operations jumped to Rs. 102.59 lakhs from Rs. 35.77 lakhs in the same quarter last year, a growth of about 187%. Total income stood at Rs. 169.55 lakhs (vs Rs. 54.20 lakhs YoY), helped by both higher sales and a rise in other income to Rs. 66.96 lakhs from Rs. 18.44 lakhs. The company swung from a loss of Rs. 17.87 lakhs in Q1 FY25 to a profit after tax of Rs. 97.84 lakhs in Q1 FY26, with EPS of Rs. 0.93 versus a negative Rs. 0.06 earlier. Total expenses fell sharply to Rs. 35.65 lakhs from Rs. 71.61 lakhs, mainly due to lower material costs. For reference, full-year FY25 revenue was Rs. 6,046.62 lakhs and PAT was Rs. 602.06 lakhs.
Sharp swing from loss to profit and triple-digit revenue growth signal improving performance, which is positive for shareholders. However, nearly 40% of Q1 income comes from 'other income', so investors should watch whether the operating business can sustain this momentum.
