Lemon Tree Hotels and its material subsidiary Fleur Hotels have disclosed six orders and challans received from various government agencies between April 1, 2025 and June 16, 2025. The largest is a GST order from the Delhi South Commissionerate raising a service tax demand of Rs 16.04 lakh plus an equal penalty (total ~Rs 32 lakh) for the period April 2013 to June 2017, which the company plans to appeal. Two municipal challans from Gurugram totalling Rs 50,000 relate to waste management non-compliance. A consumer forum order from Nagercoil directs payment of Rs 30,200 refund with 9% interest, Rs 50,000 compensation and Rs 10,000 cost for service deficiency at the Banjara Hills property. Two minor Haryana VAT assessment orders total under Rs 9,000.
The company has stated there is no material impact on its financial operations from any of these orders. The amounts involved are small relative to Lemon Tree's overall business, and the GST order will be contested in appeal.
