LG Electronics India held its board meeting on May 21, 2026, approving FY2026 financial results. Revenue grew marginally to ₹246,049 million (vs ₹243,666 million in FY2025), but profitability declined sharply—profit before tax fell 22% to ₹22,995 million and net profit dropped 23% to ₹16,851 million. EPS stood at ₹24.83 compared to ₹32.46 in the prior year. The auditors gave an unmodified opinion. The company also appointed M/s. Dhananjay Shukla & Associates as secretarial auditor for 5 years and three internal audit firms (SS Kothari Mehta, TR Chadha, Sharp & Tannan) for FY2026-27. This is LG's first annual results as a listed company (listed October 14, 2025). Cash position strengthened with cash and equivalents at ₹44,763 million (up from ₹37,415 million).
The sharp profit decline despite flat revenue growth is concerning for shareholders. However, the strong cash reserves and unchanged auditor opinion indicate financial stability. The company may face pressure on its recently listed stock price given the earnings contraction.
