Linde India has sent individual notices to shareholders whose dividends have remained unclaimed or unpaid for seven consecutive years, covering the 64th dividend (FY 2018) through the 70th dividend (FY 2024-25). This action is taken under Section 124(6) of the Companies Act, 2013 and the IEPF Rules, 2016. Affected shareholders must claim their unpaid dividends by 5 June 2026, failing which their shares will be transferred to the Demat Account of the IEPF Authority. For shares held in physical form, the company will issue new share certificates and the originals will be deemed cancelled. Shareholders can later reclaim shares and dividends from IEPF by filing Form IEPF-5 through the MCA portal.
This is a routine regulatory compliance filing, not a material corporate event. It has no impact on the stock price or on shareholders whose dividends are up to date. Only the specific shareholders with seven consecutive years of unclaimed dividends need to act before 5 June 2026, or they risk losing their shares to the IEPF Authority.
