LKP Securities Ltd will invest Rs. 50 lakh in its wholly owned subsidiary LKP IFSC Private Limited by subscribing to a rights issue of 5,00,000 equity shares of Rs. 10 each at par. LKP IFSC, incorporated in May 2022, operates in broking and Alternative Investment Fund (AIF) business at GIFT City and reported a turnover of only Rs. 4.45 lakh for FY25, indicating it is still in an early stage. The transaction is a related party deal done at arm's length, and since LKP IFSC is already 100% owned by LKP Securities, there is no change in the parent's shareholding or control. The acquisition is in cash and is expected to be completed on or before October 7, 2025.
This is a small, routine capital infusion into an existing wholly owned subsidiary and is unlikely to materially affect the stock price. It signals the company's intent to scale its GIFT City broking and AIF operations, but the subsidiary is still very small in size.
