London Stock Exchange to start nonstop trading next year

The London Stock Exchange has announced plans to launch a round-the-clock trading platform called LSE 24, expected to be ready for client testing by the end of 2026 and go live in the first half of 2027. Initially, exchange-traded products (ETPs) will be tradable, with the option to later expand into equities. The move is aimed at providing greater flexibility and liquidity beyond traditional trading hours, driven partly by younger investors embracing 24x7 offerings from crypto platforms such as Coinbase Global.
