Lupin reported its FY2025 (year ended March 31, 2025) audited results with consolidated sales of INR 221,921 Mn, up 12.9% YoY from INR 196,563 Mn. EBITDA jumped 39.4% to INR 54,792 Mn with margins expanding by 469 basis points to 24.7%. Profit After Tax surged 70.8% to INR 33,063 Mn versus INR 19,356 Mn last year. Q4 FY2025 was also strong with sales up 13.6% YoY to INR 55,622 Mn and PAT more than doubling to INR 7,824 Mn (+112.5% YoY). Growth was led by North America (+15.9% to INR 83,950 Mn, 38% of sales) and India (+13.8% to INR 75,773 Mn), with Other Developed Markets rising 23.4%. Lupin remains the 3rd largest pharma player in the US generic market, received 7 ANDA approvals in the quarter (340 cumulative), and continues to be net debt-free with Net Debt at INR -3,096 Mn. The Board has recommended a 600% dividend.
Sharp improvement in profitability, net-cash balance sheet, and a hefty 600% dividend recommendation are clearly positive for shareholders. The strong FY25 performance and expanding margins (469 bps) signal improving operational efficiency, which could support a positive stock reaction, though Q4 PAT was down 8.9% sequentially.
