Madhav Marbles and Granites reported weak Q1 FY26 results with standalone revenue from operations falling to ₹792.16 lakhs, down about 25% from ₹1,060.49 lakhs in the same quarter last year. Standalone net profit dropped sharply to ₹16.13 lakhs from ₹44.72 lakhs, while on a consolidated basis the company slipped into a net loss of ₹17.66 lakhs compared to a smaller loss of ₹3.36 lakhs a year ago. The Granite & Stone division, which is the main business, saw revenue fall to ₹712.24 lakhs from ₹1,060.49 lakhs, though the Power Generation segment improved to ₹116.75 lakhs from ₹34.70 lakhs. The Board also approved restructuring of its windmill operations by leasing one windmill to a new entity in which MMGL will hold 74% and HT Consumers will hold 26%, aimed at improving power revenue. The auditor (Nyati & Associates) issued an unqualified review report on the results.
The sharp revenue decline in the core granite business and the swing to a consolidated loss are negative signals for shareholders, though the new windmill joint venture could provide some upside. EPS on a standalone basis fell to ₹0.18 from ₹0.50, which may weigh on the stock in the short term.
