Mafatlal Industries has published the extract of its unaudited standalone and consolidated financial results for the quarter ended 30 June 2025 in newspapers, as required under SEBI listing rules. Total income from operations stood at ₹1,244.79 crore (standalone), a sharp jump from ₹455.26 crore in the previous quarter and ₹457.73 crore in the same quarter last year. Net profit after tax rose to ₹45.94 crore (standalone), up from ₹23.16 crore in Q4 FY25 and ₹30.38 crore in Q1 FY25. Total comprehensive income (which includes other comprehensive income such as investment revaluation gains) was ₹98.01 crore versus a loss of ₹129.55 crore in Q4 FY25. Basic EPS improved to ₹6.39 from ₹3.22 in the previous quarter and ₹4.24 a year ago. Results were reviewed by the Audit Committee and approved by the Board on 4 August 2025.
The quarter shows a notable improvement in profitability and a very large jump in reported revenue, which looks unusual and may warrant a closer look at the detailed results. For shareholders, the higher EPS and swing back into positive comprehensive income are positives, but the revenue spike should be verified against the full-format results available on the company's and BSE's websites before drawing strong conclusions.
