Mafatlal Industries has won an order worth approximately INR 114 crore from the Odisha Computer Application Centre (OCAC), a technical directorate under the Government of Odisha's Electronics & IT Department. The order spans five years and involves setting up 500 robotic laboratories across 16 districts in Odisha under the state's School and Mass Education Department. As part of the mandate, the company will deliver robotics training and education services to support STEM learning for school students. The company is calling it one of the largest robotics education projects in India and says it reinforces its push into the digital infrastructure segment, beyond its legacy textile business.
This is a meaningful new revenue stream for Mafatlal's digital infrastructure vertical and signals the company's diversification beyond textiles into government-led tech education projects. For shareholders, it represents order-book visibility over five years and validates the new business direction, though the segment's contribution to overall financials is still developing.
