Magna Electro Castings reported Q1 FY26 revenue from operations of Rs. 4,852.01 lakhs, up about 15% from Rs. 4,216.24 lakhs in Q1 FY25. Total income stood at Rs. 4,897.34 lakhs versus Rs. 4,268.97 lakhs, a 14.7% YoY rise. However, profit before tax dipped slightly to Rs. 892.11 lakhs from Rs. 903.06 lakhs, and profit after tax fell marginally to Rs. 665.55 lakhs (Rs. 672.03 lakhs in Q1 FY25), translating to an EPS of Rs. 15.73. Costs grew faster than revenue — manufacturing expenses jumped 25% and employee costs rose 25%, squeezing margins. The company's Third Moulding Line Project was commissioned on 27th June 2025, signalling capacity expansion. Statutory auditors VKS Aiyer & Co issued an unqualified limited review report.
Modest revenue growth is positive but margin pressure from rising costs slightly dragged profits despite higher sales. The new moulding line may support future volumes, but near-term margin watch is warranted for shareholders.
