Magna Electro Castings has published its Q1 FY26 unaudited results in The Hindu BusinessLine and Maalai Malar, as required under SEBI Listing Regulations. Total income from operations rose to Rs. 4,852.01 lakhs, up about 15% year-on-year from Rs. 4,216.24 lakhs in Q1 FY25 and up roughly 6.6% sequentially from Rs. 4,551.06 lakhs in Q4 FY25. Net profit after tax was Rs. 665.55 lakhs, almost flat YoY (Rs. 672.03 lakhs) but up around 38% from Rs. 481.67 lakhs in the previous quarter. Basic and diluted EPS stood at Rs. 15.73 for the quarter versus Rs. 15.88 a year ago. The board approved the results on 14 August 2025, and noted that the Third Moulding Line Project was commissioned on 27 June 2025, indicating fresh capacity coming onstream.
Revenue growth and a strong sequential jump in net profit signal improving operating momentum, likely aided by the newly commissioned Third Moulding Line. However, near-flat YoY profit and a slight dip in EPS suggest margin pressure or higher costs, which shareholders should watch in upcoming quarters.
