Magnum Ventures Limited received credit rating affirmation of ACUITE BB with Stable outlook for its Rs. 230 crore Non-Convertible Debentures and new assignment for Rs. 50 crore NCDs. A separate Rs. 190 crore proposed NCD facility was withdrawn. The company improved its financial profile through refinancing Rs. 150 crore of high-cost debt (18% coupon) with a lower-cost term loan from TFCI at reduced interest rate, bringing average cost of debt down to around 13%. Operating revenue grew 21.5% to Rs. 336.26 crore in 9MFY26, though operating margins declined to 13.33% from 19.69% in the prior year period. Net worth strengthened to Rs. 215.30 crore with gearing improving to 0.97 times in FY25. The rating was previously upgraded from ACUITE C (junk) to ACUITE BB in December 2024. The company is also planning a demerger of its paper business into Magnum Paperz Limited by FY28.
The reaffirmation signals continued creditworthiness despite margin pressures. The successful refinancing reduces interest burden and extends debt maturity, providing liquidity relief. However, shareholders should monitor declining operating margins and the upcoming Rs. 230 crore NCD maturity in August 2027, which remains a key monitorable.
