Mahindra & Mahindra reported its monthly auto volume data for May 2025. Total production rose to 89,626 units versus 70,261 units in May 2024, a jump of about 27.6%. Total domestic sales grew to 80,458 units from 69,011 units, up roughly 16.6% year-on-year. Exports climbed to 3,652 units from 2,671 units, a rise of about 36.7%. Key growth drivers were Thar+Thar Roxx, Scorpio, XUV3XO, XUV700, and the newly launched Electric Origin SUV which contributed 4,021 units in domestic sales. Three-wheeler (Treo, Alfa CNG) volumes also improved meaningfully. Bolero was the only notable laggard, with production slipping to 8,749 units from 9,977.
Strong double-digit growth across production, sales, and exports signals healthy demand and improving scale, which is positive for revenue and margin sentiment. The launch traction of the new Electric Origin SUV is an added positive, though these unaudited monthly numbers can still be revised later.
