Mahindra & Mahindra has announced a planned succession in its senior management. Mr. Ruzbeh Irani, President – Group Human Resources and a member of the Group Executive Board, will retire on 1 April 2026 upon reaching superannuation age, after over 19 years with the company. In his place, Mr. Rohit Thakur, currently CHRO for the Auto and Farm Sector, will be elevated to Group Chief Human Resources Officer effective 2 April 2026. Mr. Thakur brings prior HR leadership experience at Accenture India, Microsoft India, GE, LEAD School, and Paytm. The transition is part of a pre-planned succession and is not related to any performance or governance issue.
This is a smooth, internally-managed leadership transition with no disruption to operations. Shareholders should view this as a routine, well-prepared succession with no negative implications for the stock.
