Mahindra & Mahindra issued a correction to its April 2025 auto sales press release, fixing a labeling error where FY25 and FY24 figures were inadvertently shown instead of FY26 and FY25. Utility Vehicle sales stood at 52,330 units in April 2025 (FY26), up 28% from 41,008 units in April 2024 (FY25). Light Commercial Vehicles under 2 tonnes dropped 21% to 2,652 units, while the 2T–3.5T segment grew 9% to 19,141 units. Three-wheeler sales were nearly flat at 5,470 units (-1%), and total exports jumped 82% to 3,381 units year-on-year.
Strong SUV volume growth of 28% and an 82% surge in exports are positive for the stock, though the sharp 21% decline in the small LCV segment is a weak spot. Overall, the corrected data reinforces the growth narrative for M&M's core UV business heading into FY26.
