Maithan Alloys reported standalone revenue of Rs 2,251 Cr for FY26, up 24% from Rs 1,820 Cr in FY25, meeting the revenue growth threshold. However, profit after tax declined significantly to Rs 432 Cr from Rs 610 Cr in FY25, a drop of about 29%. The Q4 standalone result showed a loss of Rs 88 Cr before tax due to lower other income from fair value gains on investments (Rs 276 Cr vs Rs 648 Cr in prior year). The company declared a first interim dividend of Rs 11 per share and recommended a final dividend of Rs 6 per share. The auditor issued an unmodified opinion with no qualifications. Two new subsidiaries were incorporated - Maithan Capital Limited (NBFC in progress) and Maithan Electronics Private Limited.
Despite strong revenue growth, the sharp decline in investment income led to a 29% drop in annual profits, which may weigh on investor sentiment. However, dividend declarations demonstrate cash generation capability. The stock may see near-term pressure due to profit decline.
