Malpani Pipes & Fittings has installed a 1,136.34 kWp rooftop solar power plant at its plastic pipe manufacturing facility in Ratlam, Madhya Pradesh. The factory spans 1,50,000 sq. ft. with about 80,000 sq. ft. of built-up area. Commissioning will begin in May 2025 and is expected to be completed by August 2025, with benefits flowing in from the second half of FY2025-26. The solar system is projected to generate around 12.5 lakh units of electricity per year, saving the company an estimated ₹87.5 lakhs annually in power costs. The investment is expected to be recovered within about four years. The move is aimed at reducing dependence on grid electricity and improving long-term profitability.
