Mangalam Drugs and Organics' board, at its meeting on August 7, 2025, approved the unaudited financial results for the quarter ended June 30, 2025. Total income from operations fell sharply to Rs. 5,734.87 lakhs from Rs. 7,653.62 lakhs in the same quarter last year. The company swung from a profit of Rs. 268.47 lakhs in Q1 FY25 to a net loss of Rs. 1,372.80 lakhs (standalone) in Q1 FY26, with basic EPS turning negative at Rs. (8.67) versus Rs. 1.70 a year ago. On a consolidated basis, the net loss was Rs. 1,379.83 lakhs with EPS of Rs. (8.72). Statutory auditors V.S. Somani & Co. issued an unmodified limited review report. A note also flagged that the NCLT-convened meeting of creditors and shareholders for the proposed merger with Mangalam Laboratories Pvt Ltd and Shri JB Pharma Pvt Ltd is scheduled for August 12, 2025.
Weak Q1 performance with a steep year-on-year revenue drop and a swing to a sizeable loss is likely to be viewed negatively by investors in the short term. The pending NCLT meeting on August 12 for the merger remains a key near-term event to watch.
