Markets flat? No problem. HNIs stay invested

HNIs with investable assets of Rs 5-50 crore are staying invested during range-bound markets rather than moving to cash, according to wealth managers. HNI mutual fund accounts rose 12.8% between December 2025 and March 2026, lifting their share of total MF accounts from 8.2% to 8.9%. Investors are broadening strategies beyond traditional avenues, exploring specialized investment funds (SIFs), mutual fund-based PMS, Category II AIFs, and global investing, while market focus shifts to the June-quarter earnings season for directional cues.
