Maruti Suzuki has commenced commercial production at its second manufacturing plant in Kharkhoda, Haryana with a capacity of 250,000 units per annum, effective 18th May 2026. Combined with the first plant that started production in February 2025, the Kharkhoda facility now has 500,000 units annual capacity. The company's total annual production capacity has increased to 2.65 million units across Gurugram, Manesar, Hansalpur, and Kharkhoda facilities. Once fully operational, Kharkhoda will become one of Suzuki's largest manufacturing locations with 1 million units capacity. The expansion aligns with Maruti's previously announced plan to add 5 lakh units of capacity in FY 2026-27.
This capacity expansion strengthens Maruti Suzuki's production capabilities and positions it to meet growing demand, potentially supporting market share gains. The increased capacity reduces supply-side constraints and can improve delivery timelines, which is positive for revenue growth prospects.
