Maruti Suzuki sold 1,80,526 total units in July 2025, up about 3% from 1,75,041 units in July 2024. Domestic sales were largely flat at 1,40,570 units versus 1,40,354 a year ago, while exports surged roughly 32% to 31,745 units from 23,985. Sales to other OEMs dipped to 8,211 units from 10,702. Within segments, Mini and Compact cars (Alto, Swift, Baleno, WagonR, Dzire etc.) grew to 72,489 units from 68,642, but Utility Vehicles (Brezza, Ertiga, Grand Vitara, Jimny etc.) declined to 52,773 from 56,302. Vans (Eeco) rose to 12,341 from 11,916. For the April-July FY26 period, total sales stood at 7,08,387 units versus 6,96,909 in the same period last year, a marginal 1.6% increase.
Mixed picture for shareholders - domestic passenger vehicle demand remains sluggish, especially in the higher-margin UV segment, while exports are a clear bright spot with strong double-digit growth. Overall flat to slightly positive numbers suggest the company is not yet seeing a strong festive-season demand pickup, which may keep the stock range-bound until domestic recovery becomes clearer.
