Maruti Suzuki reported total production of 2,11,939 vehicles in December 2025, up about 34% from 1,57,654 units in December 2024. Passenger vehicle production rose to 2,08,591 units versus 1,55,553 units last year, a jump of roughly 34%. Growth was led by the Mini segment (Alto, S-Presso) at 19,187 units versus 11,087, and Compact cars (Baleno, Swift, Dzire, WagonR, etc.) at 89,275 versus 66,437. Utility Vehicles (Brezza, e Vitara, Fronx, Jimny, etc.) also climbed to 87,451 from 64,212. Light Commercial Vehicles (Super Carry) rose to 3,348 from 2,101. Notably, production of the Ciaz sedan stood at zero, suggesting it has been phased out of the line-up.
This is a routine monthly production update, but the sharp year-on-year volume growth signals strong demand recovery and healthy festive-season throughput, which is a positive read on near-term revenue momentum for shareholders. The discontinuation of the Ciaz highlights the company's continued pivot toward SUVs and high-demand small car segments.
