Maruti Suzuki reported its July 2025 production figures, with total passenger vehicle output at 183,285 units versus 182,841 units in July 2024, a marginal increase of about 0.2%. Including light commercial vehicles, the grand total stood at 187,073 units compared to 185,641 units last year, up roughly 0.8%. The compact segment (Baleno, Swift, Dzire, WagonR etc.) grew about 10% to 87,950 units, and the Super Carry LCV rose sharply by around 35% to 3,788 units. However, the mini segment (Alto, S-Presso) fell nearly 27% to 11,484 units, utility vehicles declined about 2% to 70,241 units, and Ciaz production was reported as zero, likely indicating discontinuation.
Overall production is broadly flat year-on-year, suggesting steady demand rather than a strong acceleration or slowdown. The sharp drop in mini cars and zero Ciaz production highlight a continued mix shift toward compact cars and SUVs, which is neutral to marginally positive for the stock given better-realisation segments are growing.
