Maruti Suzuki produced 127,545 total vehicles in June 2025, down from 133,095 units in June 2024, a decline of about 4.2% year-on-year. Passenger vehicle production fell to 125,392 units from 130,930 units, while light commercial vehicles were nearly flat at 2,153 units versus 2,165 units. The decline was driven by the small car segments: Mini cars (Alto, S-Presso) dropped sharply to 7,097 from 10,133 units, and Compact cars (Baleno, Swift, Dzire, WagonR, etc.) fell to 55,467 from 63,787. The Mid-size Ciaz recorded zero production versus 806 units last year. On the positive side, Utility Vehicles (Brezza, Ertiga, Fronx, Jimny, XL6) rose strongly to 53,677 units from 47,437, and Eeco vans grew to 9,151 from 8,767 units. Production includes output from Suzuki Motor Gujarat.
Overall volumes are slightly down year-on-year, but the sharp shift away from small cars toward SUVs and vans reflects changing consumer preference and Maruti's product mix improvement, which may support better average realisations despite lower unit volumes.
