Max Healthcare Institute Ltd has completed the acquisition of ~58.28% equity stake in Kalinga Hospital Ltd (KHL), which operates a 250-bed Multi-Specialty Hospital in Bhubaneswar, Odisha. The aggregate consideration for this controlling stake was approximately ₹297.97 Crore. The acquisition was financed through a Senior Secured Term Loan of up to ₹300 Crore in the form of External Commercial Borrowings. With this completion, KHL has become a subsidiary of Max Healthcare. The company received credit confirmation of equity shares of KHL on May 18, 2026.
This acquisition strengthens Max Healthcare's presence in Odisha and adds a 250-bed hospital to its network, expanding its operational footprint. KHL becoming a subsidiary means its financials will now be consolidated with Max Healthcare.
