Mayur Floorings Limited reported FY25 revenue from operations of Rs 630.18 lakhs, up about 48% from Rs 424.38 lakhs in FY24. Profit before exceptional items improved modestly to Rs 11.68 lakhs (vs Rs 8.04 lakhs). However, the company booked an exceptional item of Rs 139.37 lakhs during Q4 FY25, swinging the company into a net loss of Rs 130 lakhs for the full year (vs a profit of Rs 7.04 lakhs in FY24). Q4 FY25 standalone net loss stood at Rs 138.24 lakhs, with EPS turning negative at Rs (2.57). Other equity slipped into negative territory at Rs (163.44) lakhs, while non-current borrowings jumped sharply to Rs 232.42 lakhs from Rs 128.64 lakhs. The company also completed the trial run of its new ball mill plant during the quarter. The statutory auditor issued an unmodified (clean) opinion on the results.
Despite strong top-line growth, shareholders should note the one-time exceptional charge wiped out operating profits and pushed retained earnings negative. Higher borrowings and thin closing cash of Rs 0.33 lakhs suggest the company's financial cushion is weak, even as the new ball mill plant begins operations.
