Mayur Floorings Limited reported its audited financial results for FY25 at a board meeting held on 29 May 2025. Revenue from operations rose sharply to Rs 630.18 lakhs from Rs 424.38 lakhs in FY24, a growth of about 48.5%. However, the company booked an exceptional item of Rs 139.37 lakhs, which dragged the company into a net loss of Rs 130 lakhs compared to a profit of Rs 7 lakhs in the previous year. Total expenses increased to Rs 618.51 lakhs driven by higher raw material costs and employee expenses. The auditor, Bansilal Shah & Co., issued an unmodified (clean) opinion on the financials. Borrowings rose notably to Rs 284.55 lakhs (from Rs 187.85 lakhs), and other equity turned negative at Rs -163.44 lakhs. Cash balance at year-end is just Rs 0.33 lakhs. Trial run of a new ball mill plant was completed during the quarter.
Despite strong top-line growth, shareholders should note that the company swung to a significant net loss of Rs 130 lakhs due to a large exceptional charge, and its reserves are now negative. The thin cash balance and rising debt warrant caution, though operating cash flows remain positive and the auditor raised no going-concern issues.
